Rev. Enos Omodhi


Rev. Enos joined the ministry of the Word as an Evangelist in 1980 after having undergone a two year Evangelistic Training at Matongo Bible School. He was then posted as an Evangelist to ELCK Kawangware congregation in 1981 where he worked until 1991 when he was sent to Kadie and Atemo congregations respectively. In 1996, Rev. Enos was transferred to Uhuru Highway Lutheran Church as an evangelist from where he left for further training at Kapenguria Bible Center. Upon completion of his studies in 2002, he was ordained a pastor and posted to continue serving at UHLC where he still works to date. Rev. Enos is motivated in his work by the fact that he knows Him whom he is serving to be the Savior of mankind from the sinful nature. He leads worship services especially in the Swahili congregation, he preaches the Word and administers sacraments. He enjoys visiting with the congregants in their homes and in the office. He works hand in hand with his colleague the Rev. Isaiah in the social ministry arm of the Cathedral’s mission of reaching out to the whole person. Rev. Enos is married to his beloved wife Clara with whom they are blessed with two children Purity and Hillary.

The Rev. Isaiah O Obare


Pastor Isaiah Obare is the spiritual custodian for the English Congregation at Uhuru Highway Lutheran Cathedral. At the same time he serves the Elders’ Council of the ELCK Arch Diocese as the secretary and is also charge of all the administrative work of the Diocese as is enshrined in the ELCK Constitution Article X. 27. Rev. Isaiah undertook his graduate work in Theology from Concordia Theological Seminary Fort Wayne Indiana 2009 where he earned his MA degree in theology and is finishing his STM degree from the same school.As a pastor he served as a missionary pastor in South Sudan under LCMS World Mission 2005 after which he was sent to do mission work among the Sudanese and Ethiopian refugees in Kakuma, Hagadera, Ifo and Daadab refugee camps in Kenya in 2006. During his service with the refugees, he received a call from Springs of Life Lutheran Church Kibera in 2007 from where he left in the Fall of that year and joined the seminary in the US for his further studies. After graduating from CTS in 2009, he received a call to serve as a pastor to the English congregation of Uhuru Highway Lutheran Cathedral where he is serving to date. Rev. Isaiah is driven by his passion and love for Christ’s service. With his strong conviction of the gospel truth about salvation as enshrined in the Holy writ, he remains committed to reaching out to all people and proclaiming this gospel truth that in Christ and through Christ we (man) is reconciled to God the Father and that our sins are forgiven.Pastor Isaiah cherishes the support he receives from his beloved with wife Caroline, with whom they have been married since December 2003. They are blessed with their two children Rehema and Ralph.
